About Me

Donald M. Banman

Donald M. Banman has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 1989. He graduated from the University of Tulsa School of Law in 1988. He graduated from the University of North Texas in 1983 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. After graduating from law school, Don joined the insurance defense Law Firm of Zeleskey, Cornelius, Hallmark, and Roper located in Lufkin, Texas.

Don's experience also includes working as a State of Texas Assistant Attorney General in the Child Support Division. Don is also a former Municipal Judge for the City of Pottsboro, Texas. He has been a private practice attorney for many years.

Don has been active in the community in many capacities. He is a member of Lakeway United Methodist Church in Pottsboro, Texas where he is a choir member and has been involved in various committees over the years. He is a past President of the Pottsboro Area Chamber of Commerce and a past President of the Pottsboro Youth Association. Don co-chaired the Pottsboro Frontier Days Committee in 1998.

Don has been actively involved in the Denison Summer Track Club as a volunteer coach. He has also coached youth sports for the Pottsboro Youth Association. As a result of his community service, Don was named Citizen of the Year in 1999 by the Pottsboro Area Chamber of Commerce. Don also wrote a grant for funding of improvements to baseball and softball fields in Festival Park in Pottsboro.

In 2010, Don was appointed to the Main Street Advisory Board by the City of Denison. He became chair of the Eisenhower Veterans Monument Committee. The bust of President Eisenhower is the work of artist, David Adickes. The statue is located at Loy Lake Park in Denison, Texas. Thanks to the efforts of many volunteers and brick sales honoring veterans, the Eisenhower Veterans Monument was dedicated on February 21, 2011.
